On another front, the Foggies are preparing to record an instrumental album. We're all contributing original compositions for this, so stay tuned.
The Foggy Hogtown Boys were just bestowed with some honours from the Central Canada Bluegrass Music Association, including Best Band of 2006 and Best Instrumental Group of 2006. We also have the CCBMA's Fiddle and Guitar Player's of 2006. Congratulations to John Showman and Chris Coole.

We've just finished recording the new Creaking Tree String Quartet album. Working with Bil has been great. There's still a lot of work to do on the album, including naming it, so stay posted for release news.
It's been quite a while since updating, and a lot's happening.
The Creaking Tree String Quartet is hard at work, preparing for our summer tour, which will take us out west for most of the summer. We are also getting the material together for our next album (to be recorded in August).. This time, we've recruited the help of veteran, Bil Vorndick, to produce/engineer the album.
The Foggy Hogtown Boys have unfortunately, lost John McNaughton. Filling his role on bass and vocals is the talented Max Heineman. We just played our first gig together last week, and it's sounding great! Come check him out at the Brunswick some Saturday.
I'm not quite sure how, but I've found the time to squeeze in another album. This time I'm joining, Irish mandolin wizard BRIAN TAHENY, on a journey through Irish and Old Time music, all performed on the mandolin family. This recording also documents our first time, playing music together. Ever!
...keep posted for updates and release date...
